Rex Grossman signed with Skins?

As a Redskins fan we all hoped that maybe things have changed since last year. We have a new GM and Head Coach thought to be able to talk ol' Danny boy out of acquisitions such as Rex Grossman! We need linemen, some good receivers, and did I mention linemen? I sure hope that Rex is being brought in as a kind of on the field coach considering he has followed Shanahan around the league and knows his system well. According to Arrington this could be a strong possiability.

THE ASSOCIATED PRESSASHBURN, Va. -- Quarterback Rex Grossman has signed a
free-agent contract with the Washington Redskins.Grossman spent last season with
the Houston Texans, working with new Redskins offensive co-ordinator Kyle
Shanahan.Grossman, 29, played the previous six seasons with the Chicago Bears,
leading them to the Super Bowl after the 2006 season. He has played in 37 NFL
games, including 31 starts. He has completed 524 of 971 passes (54 per cent) for
6,197 yards, with 33 touchdowns and 36 interceptions. The Redskins released
veteran backup quarterback
Todd Collins on March 4.
Cambell needs a chance to prove himself behind a good offensive line, with decent recievers. Hopefully this will spark competition only, and not just give us a vision of what is to become to our lost franchise.
