Using tape to see the size of the boxes

Just recently Mary decided she wanted a decor change throughout our house.  One of her wanted changes was to make the dining room more formal and "grown up".   So this weekend I tried to make her vision a reality

Added the Chair Rail

Added the Wooden Boxes

Painted, and Painted, and Painted again

Finished product (almost)

After 2 days of hanging chair rail, crown molding, boxes, and painting it all (over and over and over again) Mary had her "grown up" formal dining room.  I wish I could say it was finished, however our dining room is left looking empty due to us removing all of the outdated furniture to storage.  Furniture shopping is in our future as we plan on adding a great deal of stuff.  Not to mention we are paint over the "masking tape" colored walls with a richer color.  Cant wait to post the updated pics!
